I got into programming almost by accident — fixing a broken WordPress theme for a friend's small business turned into late nights reading documentation, and then into a career. Six years later, I've worked across fintech, retail, and open source, but the thing that hasn't changed is the itch to understand how something actually works before I ship it.

These days I work mostly as an independent full-stack developer, picking up projects where a single person can move faster than a full team — MVPs that need to be right the first time, backend systems that need someone accountable for uptime, and codebases that need an outsider to make sense of them again.

Outside of client work, I maintain a couple of open-source tools, write occasionally about backend architecture, and spend an unreasonable amount of time re-reading PostgreSQL documentation for fun. Hackathon Winner · Tech Community Speaker · GitHub Top Contributor.
